Fight The Fear Campaign Teams up with WAVE

FIGHT THE FEAR CAMPAIGN THE CAMPAIGNThe Fight the Fear Campaign is excited to announce that they'll be teaming up with The WAVE Foundation (Women Against Violence Everywhere). This new partnership will allow both organizations to increase their footprint and expand their educational programming across the region as they educate local youth about relationship violence, sexual assault awareness and self-defense. Over the next few months, The WAVE Foundation’s Braking the Cycle program and the Fight the Fear Campaign will be merged into a joint program.  Stay tuned for more details on this exciting evolution of our organization. HOW YOU CAN HELPOn Sunday September 18th, The WAVE Foundation is hosting Cycle the WAVE. It is a fully supported, non-competitive, deluxe, all-women’s cycling and walking event. It’s for women of all ages and fitness levels, and seeks to foster camaraderie and increase awareness of relationship violence and sexual assault.  Funds raised will help support the new, joint program.  Sign up here

Meet Andrew, Age 15

Central African Republic "I used to have a good life. But since the conflict started, things changed."… ; Andrew pauses as he remembers happier times. His life is very different now. “I’ve seen people beheaded. I’ve seen people have their hands and noses cut off. I’ve seen their bodies cut into pieces. My parents were killed. Some other family and friends too.” He is asked if he misses anything about his former life. There is another pause before he answers quietly: “There are lots of things that I miss.”
