A Christmas message from Brandi…
Published on Dec 23, 2015
Thank you to detective Kim Bogucki from the Seattle police department for the opportunity to sing Christmas carols with the ladies at the Washington CorrectionCenter for Women.
It’s a transformative thing to be with folks who are unburdened by greed this time of year, but would wish for nothing more than forgiveness and time with their families. It was a perspective that I needed. Sometimes to truly appreciate what you have, it takes being with someone who would give anything to have it for even one day.

Fight The Fear in Seattle
Published on Oct 20, 2015
Thank you to everyone who attended our free Fight The Fear self-defense workshop in Seattle on Sunday! It was our biggest turnout yet...
We have seen, first hand, the impact we have made this summer with our FtFC tour and it is truly inspiring. We really believe we have empowered women and girls all across the country to realize their own strength and walk through the world with more confidence. We will never be able to fully comprehend the acts of violence that did not take place because of our mission and message and that is something to be really proud of.
To all of the self-defense instructors and the women and girls who attended our nationwide free workshops over the summer, you helped us build a real grassroots campaign from the ground up. But more importantly, you gave us the opportunity to take a tragic event and turn it into a positive message for women and girls everywhere.
Thank you to our Executive Director Melinda Johnson and to Jennifer Hopper for being such an inspiration to us all.
