LOF Partners with P&G to Invest in LGBTQ+ People

The Looking Out Foundation is proud to partner with Procter and Gamble (P&G) as part of our sustained efforts to create a world where equality and inclusion are achievable for all—including the LGBTQ+ community. Together, we are committed to providing access and opportunity for LGBTQ+ people in the communities where they work and live.

Together  we’re investing $1.1 million in 2025 to support LGBTQ+ organizations focused on a wide spectrum of issues critical to the LGBTQ+ community. This platform goes beyond raising awareness — it delivers sustained resources, both visibility and funding, to the organizations on the ground driving real change.

How the Funds Go to Work

  • Funding for over 150 LGBTQ+ centers to finance local programming, community engagement, and infrastructure needs
  • Training, coaching, and consulting for leaders and staff
  • Engage local communities and elevate awareness of LGBTQ+ issues by amplifying the Elton John Impact Awards
  • Hosting the 2025 Leadership Summit, convening 300+ leaders from LGBTQ+ centers for shared learning

  • Ensuring fair and accurate LGBTQ+ representation in news, entertainment, and advertising by monitoring coverage, providing rapid response, and working directly with journalists and media outlets
  • Launching high-visibility national campaigns to combat misinformation, elevate LGBTQ+ voices, and advance acceptance, with a focus on transgender visibility, LGBTQ+ youth, and HIV awareness
  • Providing cultural competency and media training for journalists, content creators, executives, and corporate partners to equip them with tools to tell authentic and inclusive LGBTQ+ stories
  • Expanding international collaborations to amplify LGBTQ+ narratives worldwide and ensure cultural progress is sustained and measurable

  • Support Casa Frida in Mexico, providing refuge, livelihoods, and mental health support for the displaced & vulnerable
  • Support organizations in South America, providing safe housing, advocacy, and community space for lesbian and queer women, and economic empowerment, networking, and visibility for queer-owned businesses
  • Support an organization in Vietnam — advancing LGBTQ+ rights, policy change, and social inclusion
  • Regional LGBTQ+ organization fostering advocacy, community support, and visibility across East Africa.

  • Four SAGE Centers in New York City serve 3.2k+ elder adults annually with meals, wellness programs, caregiver respite, housing navigation, and initiatives like SAGEPositive (for those living with HIV), SAGEVets (for LGBTQ+ veterans), and SAGETrans (for TGNB elders)
  • Friendly Visitors Program: Provides homebound LGBTQ+ elders in NYC and Fort Lauderdale with companionship and support
  • Expanding platforms like SAGECents (financial wellness) and SAGEYou (online hub)
  • National Resource Center on LGBTQ+ Aging: Hosts nearly 1,000 resources and draws 100,000+ visits annually
  • SAGECollab: Network of 100+ partner organizations in 39 states and Puerto Rico sharing best practices and expanding inclusive elder services
  • SAGECare: Training program for aging professionals, ensuring 450k+ LGBTQ+ elders receive care from culturally competent providers

  • Crisis Intervention: 24/7 support via phone, text, and chat across the U.S. and Mexico. 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (“Press 3”) and the only provider offering text and chat
  • TrevorSpace: the world’s largest safe social media platform for LGBTQ+ youth, with 80,000+ active users annually
  • Public Education – 100+ trainings each year for teachers, counselors, and other youth-serving professionals, reaching 7,000+ adult allies
  • Research: Annual U.S. National Survey on LGBTQ+ Youth Mental Health (18,000+ participants in 2024), first-of-its-kind Mexico survey, and 15+ additional research briefs annually
  • Advocacy: advancing protective policies, fighting harmful legislation, and ensuring LGBTQ+ youth are included in systems of care
