Calling All Volunteers This Fall!...

Calling All Volunteers for Brandi Carlile's Fall Tour Dates!... We are over halfway toward our fundraising goal for The Story Campaign and we are more committed to this cause than ever. Please lend us your support as we enter into the next phase of our campaign to help children whose lives have been torn apart by war. The Story Campaign is hitting the road with Brandi Carlile this Fall and we need volunteers! To commemorate the 10 year anniversary of Brandi Carlile's "The Story,” The Looking Out Foundation has partnered with @warchilduk and @childreninconflict to launch The Story Campaign – a sharing of stories from children whose families, communities, and schools have been torn apart by war. Every month, we will be posting new stories from these resilient children and young adults so that their voices can be heard and so that we can raise funds to help them and the thousands of other people who are unfairly impacted by war. All proceeds from The Story Campaign will benefit War Child UK & Children In Conflict. We’re relying on our Looking Out community to share these stories and help us reach our $1 million fundraising goal for these extraordinary people. We are recruiting four volunteers per show to join our Looking Out Street Team. You will be armed with iPads to sign people up and collection buckets to raise funds and awareness for The Story Campaign. Selected Street Teamers will be provided with a ticket to Brandi’s show, a limited edition Street Teamer T-shirt and an amazing opportunity to help children in dire need across the globe. In addition, the Street Teamer who signs up the most people will win a VIP concert ticket package for any Brandi Carlile show in 2019. All we ask is that you are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and inspired by The Story Campaign. We are currently recruiting Looking Out Street Teamers for the following concerts: - Sept 8, Murat Theater, Indianapolis, IN- Sept 9, Taft Theatre, Cincinnati, OH- Sept 22, Classic Center, Athens, GA- Sept 25th, Peace Center, Greenville, SC- Sept 26th, Township Auditorium, Columbia, SC- Sept 28th, Sprint Pavilion, Charlottesville, VA- Nov 29th, Nov 30th, Dec 1st, State Theater, Minneapolis, MN To apply to be a Looking Out Street Teamer, please contact [email protected] #makingmusicmeanmore #thestorycampaign

Brandi sings Again Today with Eddie Vedder...

Everything came full circle last night. Two years ago, Pearl Jam graced us with their cover of "Again Today" on Cover Stories to raise money for children impacted by war. And last night, Brandi Carlile joined Pearl Jam onstage at Safeco Field to sing the song to support their #TheHomeShows in an effort to end homelessness in Seattle. The colors indeed bleed together. It's not what type of good you do, as long as you do good. Buy the recorded version of this song on our Cover Stories album site! @warchilduk @childreninconflict

On This World Refugee Day

On this World Refugee Day, we’re reflecting on our ongoing partnership with War Child UK and their U.S. based sister organization Children In Conflict. They do incredible work all over the globe and are the beneficiaries of all of The Story Campaign donations and Cover Stories album sales. Together, we stand #withrefugees.  On World Refugee Day, Children in Conflict reaffirms our commitment to fund organizations that make sure children are protected and that their rights are respected. Nearly 28 million children have fled their homes due to conflict and many more are migrating in search of a better future. These children encounter violence, abuse, exploitation and discrimination in transit and at destination.  To get involved, go to https://childreninconflict.org/donate/  #WorldRefugeeDay  #childrefugees #hope
