It's been almost a year since we launched The Story Campaign and, with your help, we've raised over $150K for War Child UK! We're shooting for $1 million and, to help us get there, we asked 14 of our closest allies to lend us their voices. We are proud to announce Cover Stories, a benefit album celebrating 10 years of Brandi Carlile's The Story. All proceeds go to War Child UK.

Hannah’s parents were overjoyed to be reunited with her. It had been two years since she had been abducted from her small village in eastern Congo by a group of rebels. The 14 year old girl was dragged back to their base and given to one of the officers as a ‘wife’.

Meet Jasmin, Age 7

Seven year old Jasmin Elezovic stands beside the remains of Mostar’s iconic Ottoman bridge. It had proudly stood for 427 years, but in November 1993 it was destroyed by Croatian artillery fire in a matter of minutes.
This is where our story began. Jasmin was to become one of the original ‘War Children’.

As 2016 comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who supported us this year and show you exactly where and how you’ve helped. Our biggest initiative of 2016 was The Story Campaign in support of War Child’s efforts to protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children caught up in war and we’ll be continuing that in 2017 in an even bigger way. But we also gave to other organizations, big and small, local and global.

"Since going to the lessons Delaram has learnt so much and I can see that education is very important for her future." - Deleram's Mum.
Before she went to school, Delaram had wanted to be ‘a wife’ when she grew up. In this part of western Afghanistan, early (and arranged) marriages are common, and girls often become wives whilst they’re still in their early teens.
